Principles of the Organization

Homeless Children International, Inc. is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of intervening in the lives of the world’s most neglected children. This organization is founded upon the following principles.

1.   Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.     Hebrews 11:1

WE BELIEVE that faith in our Lord Jesus Christ will move all "mountains" and obstacles which would prevent us from intervening in the lives of the homeless children of this world.

WE ARE COMMITTED to waiting upon our Heavenly Father in the confidence He will use us to help those who are the world’s most neglected children.

2.   For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.
John 3:16

WE BELIEVE it is the will of our Heavenly Father for us to be involved in His work of love.

WE ARE COMMITTED to proclaiming the Father’s love displayed through Jesus Christ our Lord for a world of homeless, hungry, and hurting children.

3.   . . . How is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money . . .     Acts 5:3

WE BELIEVE that this service is a calling from our Heavenly Father and in no way is it to be used for personal gain.

WE ARE COMMITTED to ensuring that all the funds donated to the cause of helping in the lives of homeless children goes to that cause.

4.   Owe no man anything, but to love one another.
Romans 13:8

WE BELIEVE that our Heavenly Father will supply all our needs for the task He has purposed for us to complete.

WE ARE COMMITTED to never borrowing money, material goods, or going into debt.

5.   I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.     I Timothy 5:21

WE BELIEVE no partiality should be shown to any man or woman who would enter into this endeavor with us.

WE ARE COMMITTED to treating all donators, assistors, or fellow helpers equally.

6.   Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.     John 16:7-11

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit convicts people of the sin in their lives.

WE ARE COMMITTED to sharing the Gospel openly and freely with all who will listen.

7.   The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you."  Jesus said, "Feed my sheep. . . ."
John 21:17

WE BELIEVE that it is the Will of our Heavenly Father that each child should develop both physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

WE ARE COMMITTED to providing physical, mental, emotional as well as spiritual food for the children which the Heavenly Father has given into our care.

8.   The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.    Proverbs 29:7

WE BELIEVE that preventing the problem of homelessness is in the child’s best interest.

WE ARE COMMITTED to preventing the problem of homeless children from occurring whenever and wherever possible.

9.   And when you release him, do not send him away empty-handed. Supply him liberally from your flock, your threshing floor and your winepress. Give to him as the Lord your God has blessed you.    Deuteronomy 15:13-14

WE BELIEVE every establishment should be given or built with the ability to become self supporting.

WE ARE COMMITTED to being united in a bond of love in Christ Jesus our Lord to see that the establishments with which we are affiliated are given the ability to move as much as possible toward self support.

10.   But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."     Luke 18:16

WE BELIEVE that every decision of the organization must always be made with the child’s interest in mind and at heart.

WE ARE COMMITTED to never leaving the individual child’s interest out of our decisions.
